





Swansea's Christmas parade and lights switch on will take place on 21 November 2010.
Come and join Father Christmas and a procession of magical Christmas floats on Sunday 21 November 2010. Join the procession from 5pm at The Dylan Thomas Centre as it winds its way to the Guildhall via the city centre. The parade is kindly supported by Interserve, Swansea.
Have a look at the Swansea Christmas website for full details of the parade floats, road closures and everything that's happening that day - there's entertainment in the city centre from 12 noon plus the extended Christmas shopping times start from Sunday 15 November.
Waterfront Winterland opens
Waterfront Winterland is back in the grounds of the National Waterfront Museum on November 19 with two iceskating rinks! There's the main Admiral rink plus Rocky's Rink especially for children under 1.35m tall to build their skating confidence. Image depicting Admiral 75

Situated in Swansea's Maritime Cultural Quarter, the Dylan Thomas Centre celebrates the life and work of Swansea's most famous son with its permanent exhibition 'Dylan Thomas - Man and Myth'. It is also the focal point for the annual Dylan Thomas Festival (27 Oct - 09 Nov) and runs the popular Ty Llen Literature Programme, which includes regular literary events, talks, celebrity interviews and exhibitions. The Centre has an award-winning restaurant on the first floor, a cafe-bookshop, a gift shop and an art gallery. Open from 10am - 4:30pm every day including Bank Holidays. Free admission. VAQAS accredited.
